Next week, energy industry officials, business leaders, academic experts, and key policy makers are gathering in Oklahoma City for the fourth annual Oklahoma Governor’s Energy Conference. The event, presented by Governor Mary Fallin and the office of the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment, in partnership with the State Chamber of Oklahoma, will provide a good forum for discussion on current energy issues and the energy revolution that is changing the game for our country and the world.

CH2M HILL is a proud sponsor of this event and is looking forward to connecting with individuals who are leading Oklahoma’s energy future. Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to exchange information, promote innovative solutions, and network with professionals from across the industry. Our experts in the oil and gas market will be there to exchange ideas on solutions for delivering integrated water management products and technologies to the oil and gas industry, as well as hear directly from America’s business leaders in the energy market on the current industry and trends for the future.

While the energy industry is booming in North America, it is vital to the state of Oklahoma and remains the state’s biggest economic driver, with one in four jobs related to energy. Representatives from BP America, Devon Energy Corporation, GE Oil & Gas, Chesapeake Energy Corporation, and many others, will speak about the industry and energy outlook through 2035, and share lessons learned that will help others advance Oklahoma’s energy industry.

We look forward to participating in the event and will share some of the highlights in a future blog post. If you’re interested in following the conversations while they happen next week, be sure to follow us on Twitter and use the hashtag #OKGEC to get live updates.
